Boruto Officially Confirms Madara Uchiha Is the Only Shinobi to Master One Ability Even the Otsutsukis Couldn’t

In all of Naruto, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, and now Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, we haven’t seen another character conquer Nature Transformation release the way that Madara Uchiha did. Although there were a few cases, like Hashirama, Tobirama, and Hiruzen, who mastered all five basic elements, Madara went beyond that.

Madara Uchiha mastered the five basic elements under Nature Transformation release: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Lightning. He also mastered other forms, and while he might not have gained them through natural means, it doesn’t diminish his feat. With no one to compete against him in Boruto, Madara is still the only character in the Naruto franchise who mastered 10 Nature Transformations.

Madara Is the Only Shinobi to Master 10 Nature Transformations

There are quite a few villains in Naruto who have gone on to become iconic, but nobody stands out or can match up to the level of Madara Uchiha. He was a natural talent, but also incredibly persistent when he set his mind on something. One of his best feats is mastering not just basic Nature Transformations, but five others, including Wood Release.

While Madara was arguably the strongest Fire Release character in Naruto, considering his affinity for it as a Uchiha, he was extremely precise with the other elements, too. The jutsu wasn’t limited to the basics, either. Not for someone like Madara, at least. He also mastered Yin Release, Yang Release, Yin-Yang Release, Storm Release, and Wood Release.

Madara achieved Yin Release when he became the Ten-Tails’ jinchuriki, creating powerful lightning bolts. It’s more on the spiritual side, while Yang Release increases his physical capabilities. Yin-Yang Release was used to his advantage, amplifying White Zetsu and his own will into black receivers, which could control his targets.

Storm Release, on the other hand, is a mix of Water and Lightning Release. It’s fairly easy to imagine how he achieved that. However, Wood Release was a surprise. Hashirama Senju was the only natural user of it. Madara, however, spent years mastering it through the cells he stole. His skill and power with Wood Release almost rivaled Hashirama’s mastery of it.

Overall, Madara is in a league of his own and is even renowned as one of the strongest fighters in the Uchiha clan’s history. Being born with a powerful chakra did contribute to his mastery of Nature Transformations. His durability and raw power also made it nearly impossible to surpass him.

No Naruto Character Has Proven to Be a Prodigy Like Madara

Minato, Hashirama, and even Itachi could try, but nobody could be a prodigy like Madara was. Many characters are talented in their own right and are immensely powerful. We’ve watched Naruto and Sasuke grow to become legends in their universe. However, Madara stands tall among them.

Madara wasn’t just a master of Nature Transformations or a prodigy with immense chakra who perfected the Sharingan, but he was also a genius. After all, he did co-found Konohagakure with Hashirama. He is the definition of what a shinobi should be.

Thus, he was an immense threat in all realms. His other abilities included the Rinnegan, Mangekyo Sharingan, being the strongest and original Tailed Beast’s jinchuriki, and more. Even when he wasn’t at full power with Edo Tensei, he was a threat. Madara remains unrivalled until Boruto introduces a character of his calibre.
