[ALL][TP] How does the concept of "reincarnation" apply in the series?

I've heard it many times, but also in many different ways and interpretations, so it feels inconsistent, here is what I understood:

Every Link is tied by the spirit of hero Zelda and Ganon also have their reincarnations, as well as other minor characters

Here are the things I find hard to understand: Everyone says each Link is a different person, wouldn't it be wrong if they were in fact "reincarnations"? Do people who say it intend as "different human beings" more than "different souls"?

But wouldn't that still be wrong? I am still playing it, but I know there is a character in Twilight Princess that almost everyone agreed it is an undead version of Link from Ocraina of Time and Majora's Mask. How can that be possible if we say Link gets reincarnated? If it's a reincarnation Link can't coexist with another himself, unless there is time travel.

This is a more stupid reason that make it confusing just for me, but every Link, Zelda and Ganon... simply don't feel like the same character unless they are written to be. They feel like different people for real, different souls.

The way it makes sense for me is if "the spirit of hero" that tied all of them is not Link himself, but either an essence or a second soul that decides to merge with different individuals, for then letting them moving on once the job is done. It kinda sounds like this spirit of hero is us, like we actually play as them, sounds too meta at first but when we think of the fact that the spirit of hero had been there for a lot, following the adventures of each Link, actually BEING Link, and then chooses another Link again... it does sounds like the same role a player has, more than being meta, I think it's as if our power as the player could have canon reasons.

Anyways this last one was just a theory, I would like to hear the canon version of it(or other theries or interpretations, i don't even know if there is a canon reason), I don't understand much of the Zelda lore and timeline(also are the different timelines born naturally or was there an event that caused it all to split?)
