Curators:
Agung Hujatnika a.k.a. Agung Hujatnikajennong is a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Bandung Institute of Technology. He received his doctoral degree from Bandung Institute of Technology with the dissertation on curatorial practices in Indonesia. Since 1999 he has written articles on art in various mass media and presented papers in national and international seminars. Agung had attended curator residency in Australia (Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane; Drill Hall Gallery, Canberra, 2002) and in Japan (Nanjo and Associates, Tokyo, 2004). Since 2001 to 2012 he was the curator for Selasar Sunaryo Art Space and had curated many art exhibitions in Indonesia and abroad. Some to mention are OK Video - Jakarta Video Festival (2003, and “SUB/VERSION”, 2005); Bandung New Emergence (2006, 2008, 2010); Agus Suwage’s solo exhibition “I/CON” (2007); Handiwirman Saputra’s solo exhibition “In Lingo” (2008); Heri Dono’s solo exhibition “Nobody’s Land” (2008). In 2009 he was the curator for “Fluid Zones”, the main exhibition program of Jakarta Biennale: ARENA.
Sarah Rifky resides and works in Cairo, Egypt. Since 2009 she’s the curator of Townhouse Gallery of Contemporary Art and teaches at the American University in Cairo and MASS Alexandria in 2010. Sarah studied Visual Art and Mass Communication at The American University in Cairo and had received a master degree on Critical Studies from Malmö Art Academy, Lund University in Sweden. She is one of the editors for “Damascus: Tourists, Artists and Secret Agents” book. Some of the projects that Sarah had curated are “Invisible Publics” (Cairo, 2010), “The Popular Show” (Cairo, 2011), “An Accord is First and Foremost a Proposition” (New York, 2011) and “The Bergen Accords” (Bergen, 2011). Last year Sarah was one of of the curator agents for dOCUMENTA (13). While this year, she’s one of the guest juror for the Artist in Residencies Program, Art Dubai. Currently Sarah is the director of CIRCA (Cairo International Resource Center for Art).

Farah Wardani received a master degree on Art History (20th Century) from the Department of Historical & Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths College, London, UK, in 2001. Farah has been the director of Indonesian Visual Art Archive (IVAA), Yogyakarta since 2007. She has worked in collaboration projects with various art institutions such as Cemeti Art House, ruangrupa, Edwin’s Gallery, Nadi Gallery, Valentine Willie Fine Arts KL, Element Art Space - Singapore, Asia Art Archive, and Melbourne International Fine Art (MIFA). In 2007, together with Carla Bianpoen and Wulan Dirgantoro, she wrote the book “Indonesian Women Artists: The Curtain Opens”. In 2011, she was the consultant curator for the “Indonesian Eye: Fantasies & Realities” exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery, London in Indonesia and abroad. One of her latest project was curating for “Google Chrome Open Spaces 2012”.
